I awoke this morning to my spirit singing, "Savior, He can move the Mountains, He is mighty to save, He is mighty to save..." What trust and assurance is in my spirit today knowing that "He can move" the mountains! Every obstacle in the way of my loved ones salvation...he can move!
There is no doubt in my mind that he is able. So often I equate the ability to moving the mountain to the degree of "faith" I have. But today I am seeing it a little differently. Today I am looking at it from the aspect of "trust". Often I have prayed in "faith", but to day I am resting in "trust". I am not trusting in my faith, but in my God!
Only God can turn the heart like rivers of water in the hand of the King. Only God can take a heart of stone and turn it into a heart of flesh.
My spirit is arising to trust that God can (and will!) move the mountain of hard stone that surrounds that the precious heart of flesh. Only when the mountain is moved, are you able to see the beauty that is on the other side.
I use Ezekiel 36:26 to form a prayer of petition for those in need of salvation and for a softening of the heart. It says, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."
Chapter 36 contains so many words that can be used for petitioning the Lord for yourself as well as for others. Be encouraged to read through the entire chapter and spend time praying from God's word. And know, that "He can move"!
