At All Times

This morning I asked the Lord to speak to me. God speaks volumes to us. His thoughts and words can be most profound. This morning what he spoke was simple, yet made quite an impact to an area in which I need to see so much more growth in my life.
Psalm 34:1 says, I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
"At all times". Three simple little words, but what weight they carry. At all times, to be mindful of the Lord. At all times, to lift him up and give him rightful place. In all I do, every thought, every conversation.
"At all times". It keeps the Lord at the fore front of my mind. It causes my focus to be ever on him. Circumstances, trials, and worries would have no place - there would be no room, for at all times the Lord would be elevated above everything.
"Will always be". Three more simple words, but how constructive they can be. Words of praise spoken by our lips. Creating life each time.
"Will always be". Our marriages, our parenting, and our witness would be so different. If all we spoke forth from our lips were his praises then no affliction would wound those that we love. We would never steer a non-believer or a believer in a wrong direction. Seeds of hope would be planted everywhere in soil rich in faith.
Short phrases often leave the greatest impact.
